InCelligence – Training, Consulting and Expert Information on Cell Culture, GMP and Bioassays
InCelligence provides manufacturer-independent training and in-house courses, consulting services, expert information, literature, links, e-learning resources and independent product reviews on cell culture, bioassays, GMP, ELISA, protein analysis and related life science topics.
Training and Courses
InCelligence offers specialized training and courses for scientists, laboratory staff and professionals working in cell culture, bioassays and quality management. Our training program includes both in-house courses and selected open courses.
- In-house courses: We come to your site and can adapt the training to your specific requirements.
- Open courses: You come to us and participate together with attendees from other laboratories and companies.
Our currently available English-language courses include:

Before and after the course, we are also happy to support you with the establishment, optimization and validation of bioassays, testing in regulated environments, troubleshooting and standardization using SOPs. Our specialist lecturers contribute extensive practical and scientific experience from their respective fields of expertise.

Consulting
In addition to training, Dr. Kühl provides cell culture consulting in pharmaceutical and regulated environments. Consulting topics include aseptic technique and hygiene in cell culture, establishment and optimization of bioassays, cell culture under GMP and the manufacture and testing of ATMPs.
Her expertise is based on many years of practical experience in pharmaceutical cell culture under GMP and in cell-based assays, as well as her experience as Co-Founder of ANOVA IRM GmbH and in establishing pharmaceutical manufacturing activities subject to regulatory authorization in Germany.
We support laboratories and companies with the establishment, optimization and standardization of cell culture and bioassay processes, troubleshooting, the preparation and revision of SOPs and questions relating to GMP, quality management, ATMPs and tissue preparations.
Cell Culture
InCelligence provides comprehensive cell culture information with practical guidance for everyday laboratory work. Our content covers the selection and use of cell culture materials and equipment, cell cultivation and quality control, as well as the prevention and identification of common problems in cell culture laboratories.
We provide guidance for selecting suitable laboratory equipment and materials, including information and comparisons on CO₂ incubators, cell counting systems and cell culture plasticware. In addition to technical specifications, we focus on how product characteristics influence practical cell culture work.
Further key topics include the detection and prevention of cell culture contamination, the identification and control of mycoplasma and other microbial contaminants, the establishment and storage of cell banks, cell counting and 3D cell culture. For regulated applications, we also provide information on ATMPs and TEPs and the regulatory status of manufacturers and facilities.

Our cell culture information includes:

Literature
In the Literature section, InCelligence provides selected scientific literature, guidelines and reference collections on cell culture, quality management and regulatory topics. A particular focus is placed on GMP, ATMPs and regulated cell and tissue-based products.
For scientists and professionals working in pharmaceutical and regulated environments, we provide dedicated ATMP literature and sources covering regulatory requirements, manufacturing, testing and quality control. Our quality literature section provides additional references on quality-related topics relevant to laboratories and regulated environments.
Contamination control is another major topic. Our literature on cell culture contamination includes references relating to microbial contamination and laboratory quality, with a dedicated collection of literature on mycoplasma. For a practical overview of organizations active in the ATMP field, we also provide a manufacturer overview with regulatory authorizations and status information.
Links
In the Links section, InCelligence provides selected external and internal resources on cell culture, quality assurance, GMP, ATMPs and related life science topics. The aim is to provide direct access to relevant authorities, professional organizations, cell banks, collections and further scientific information.
For work in regulated environments, our collection of quality assurance authorities and institutions provides access to organizations involved in pharmaceutical regulation, quality assurance and laboratory standards. For the sourcing, authentication and quality control of cell lines, we also provide an overview of cell banks and culture collections.
Further resources include books and literature resources, biology links, our own and externally provided videos and e-learning modules. These resources also include our MOOC DNA – from structure to therapy.

About InCelligence
InCelligence is a manufacturer-independent platform for training, consulting and expert information in the life sciences. The owner is Dr. rer. nat. Nicole Kühl, a cell and molecular biologist. She was a group leader at International University Bremen, headed the PromoCell Academy for many years and is Co-Founder of ANOVA IRM GmbH. This combination of scientific work, extensive experience in professional training and practical experience in pharmaceutical environments forms the professional foundation of InCelligence.
InCelligence combines more than 20 years of experience in cell culture, bioassays, quality management, GMP and scientific training. This includes the development and delivery of training courses, the establishment of training programs, consulting for laboratories and companies and practical experience with cell culture under GMP, ATMPs, tissue preparations and regulatory requirements.
The expert content published by InCelligence is created and technically reviewed by authors with scientific and practical backgrounds. Depending on the subject area, they contribute experience from research, pharmaceutical development, cell culture, quality management, analytical methods and other areas of the life sciences. The aim is not only to explain scientific principles, but also to provide practical guidance for laboratory work.
Our lecturers are specialists in their respective fields. InCelligence courses are therefore taught by subject-matter experts who combine scientific knowledge with practical laboratory, industry or GMP experience. Experts interested in contributing to InCelligence as an author or lecturer can find further information under About InCelligence.
InCelligence combines training, specialist consulting and independent information. Our aim is to make scientific knowledge accessible, share practical experience and provide well-founded guidance for the selection of methods, equipment and materials as well as for scientific and regulatory questions.
